Bee Cassidy MA (Mus) DipTCL PGTCL

Voice Tutor

 

Bee has been teaching singing and vocal techniques to all ages for over 20 years, as well as performing professionally as a singer.  She is currently working towards becoming a certified Master Teacher in the Estill voice model.

 

Bee was keen to set up DramaNotes as she loves bringing out the best in children musically and seeing the transformation and confidence it brings.  Bee lives in Thames Ditton with her two young children and her husband Nigel who all share her passion for music.

 

 

Ziggi Szafranski MA (Performance) ADPA

Drama Tutor

 

Ziggi has been working in the dramatic arts for more than two decades, with experience in stage, television, radio and voice over work.  He has taught Performing Arts skills for the last 8 years and currently teaches academic drama through to GCSE and A-Level at The Purcell School for Young Musicians.  Along with Bee, he is also working towards becoming a certified Master Teacher in the Estill voice technique.

 

Ziggi passionately believes that studying drama and performing a variety of styles helps children develop an inner confidence and self belief that sets them up for life, whether they end up on stage, in the boardroom or in a classroom.

 

 

Nigel Cassidy BMus (Hons) LTCL PGdipTCL PGcertGSMD PGCE

High Spirits Director

 

Nigel studied Music at Royal Holloway College and voice at Trinity College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has sung extensively as a baritone including concerts with the Cologne Bach Choir, Stravinsky’s Mass with the Philharmonia Chorus and a concert performance of Copland’s opera The Second

Hurricane with Leonard Slatkin and the BBC Concert Orchestra. On the stage his roles have included Pantalon in The Love for Three Oranges (Prokoviev), Marco in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini), The Lord Chancellor in Iolanthe, and Ko-Ko in The Mikado (Arthur Sullivan).

 

Nigel teaches Music at Salesian College in Farnborough and is also Director of Music at All Saints Weston Church in Esher. For the last few years Nigel has composed sacred choral music and his psalm

100 for double choir recently received its first performance by the Kings College Choir in Cambridge.

Jo Hamon BA (Hons)

Associate Tutor

 

Jo trained at Guildford School of Acting, completing a three-year BA

Honours degree in Acting, and was awarded the Michael Redgrave

Scholarship.

Jo has recorded voiceovers for TV, radio and museums in the UK and

PHARMACY COMMERCIAL (nationwide campaign).

Jo has recently worked on a pilot for an exciting new children’s TV show, combining her puppetry and voice skills for one of the characters. Jo is also a member of a local singing group, The Weston Super Mares!
